This is my final for my Language of Animation class, a 30 second film with the simple story of a dad waking his daughter from a bad dream. I had never animated much beforehand and it has been such a long way since then. Hopefully, its approach is NOT like mainstream and has an abstract story development (some of the basic components of avant-garde and experimental film) and is greatly influenced on Berthold Bartosch's "L'Idee" (1929); but most of all, I hope you enjoy it.

Video and audio compositing done in After Effects CC 2017 in 3D environment with lights. Shot on green screen stage and stock footage and audio from VideoBlocks and StoryBlocks respectively. Color corrected in After Effects.

A young boy sets his imagination loose after an unexpected encounter with a dancing dragon. This is a story I came up with for a storyboarding class, it only reached the animatic stage with my hand-drawn boards.
